Baby: He or she is growing rapidly, weighs a little more than 4 pounds, and measures about 19 inches. Baby gaining weight rapidly now, as much as half a pound or more every week!
… 6 Weeks
Baby: Your unborn baby weighs approximately 5 pounds and the total length is almost 20 inches.
You: Your uterus now measures about 5 1/2 inches above your navel. Although you should stay active up until childbirth, you may have to ease up on certain exercises as you get closer to the end of your pregnancy.
… 5 Weeks
Baby: Your baby weighs over 5 1/2 pounds and measures a total length of just over 20 inches. Your baby is well developed now and looks almost like it will at birth, which is close at hand! In fact, baby could be born two weeks prior to your due date.
You: You may have gained 25 (or more) pounds at this time in your pregnancy. Your uterus measures about 6 inches above your navel.

Baby: As delivery approaches, baby's growth has slowed, but he has still been gaining about half an ounce of fat a day. Baby may weigh anywhere from 6 to 9 pounds and measure 17 to 22 inches. Baby may also have assumed the position he'll take for delivery. It won't be long now!

Baby: Your baby weighs about 6 1/2 pounds right now. The crown-to-rump length is about 14 inches, while the total length is around 21 inches.
